Nathan Slater – Guitar Lessons

Nathan started with classical guitar, achieving Grade 6 AMEB. He continued studies in 2001 with jazz guitarist Ben Hauptmann and in 2002-3 at Canberra School of Music with Greg Stott and Mike Price.
In 2004 Nathan moved to Melbourne to study his Bachelor of Music Performance at the VCA, studying with some of the finest guitarists in Australia and from abroad including Geoff Hughes – Head of Electric Guitar. Nathan has also studied with famed Flamenco guitarist Richard Tedesco and with Jazz/Brazilian performer, Doug De Vries. Whilst in Melbourne, Nathan has played with greats such as Alison Wedding, Dave Leibman, Alex Pertout, Darryn Farrugia, Andrew Gander and Leonard Gregorian.
Nathan – a recipient of the Athenaeum Award for Music Composition and the VCA Professors Award for Excellence in Performance – has been hailed as “A formidable talent with his star on the rise… a name to watch in the very near future.
Nathan’s teaching experience is extensive. He teaches private students and has taught in guitar schools and state and private secondary schools in Melbourne.

Genaaron Diamente – Guitar Lessons

Genaaron began learning guitar at a very early age. In 2005, he enrolled with the Victorian College of the Arts. During his time there, Genaaron studied with some of the finest guitarists in Australia including Geoff Hughes – Head of Electric Guitar.
He studied jazz with some of this country’s finest guitarists such as Stephen Magnusson and Peter Petrucci and with the renowned Jazz/Brazilian guitarist Doug De Vries. Genaaron has also studied classical guitar with well known performer and teacher Anthony Field.
Genaaron has taught for many years in high school, individually and in group classes, and has since taught hundreds of students. He has a wide range of experience teaching many different styles and has guided students through exams and VCE performances.
Genaaron currently performs extensively throughout Melbourne. He plays in jazz bands, rock bands, duos, trios and performs as a solo guitarist. He is also a dedicated composer and producer and is currently involved in several recording projects involving original bands and solo works.

Delany Stewart – Guitar + Bass Lessons

Delaney has played guitar since he was nine years old. He won a music scholarship to the highly acclaimed Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School, graduating in 2003.
He then studied at Monash University in 2004, where he gained a Bachelor of Music in Improvisation, under Australia’s most esteemed musicians including Doug DeVries, Steve Magnusson, Steve Hadley, Steve Sedergreen and Rob Burke.
In addition to classical studies, Delaney’s interests also lie with Brazilian music, blues, rock, reggae, funk, jazz, traditional Cuban music as well as orchestral music.
In the past four years, Delaney has taught acoustic, electric and bass guitar to a vast array of students ranging from young children to adults. Song-writing and musical expression is also explored with students under Delaney’s tutelage.
Currently he composes for a six piece reggae band, a three piece rock band and a Brazilian guitar duet, all of which are actively performing and touring around the country. He has a wide knowledge and experience of the music industry from many angles.

Edward Lacey – Guitar Lessons Completing BA of Law (V.U. Melb.)
Edward has taught music for
eleven years and enjoys developing technique and creativity in
his students, from beginners
to advanced.
He has performed in bands since the age of fifteen. For ten years he was a member of The Wolves, signed to Roadrunner Records, and performed at Big Day Out, Festival Hall, The Hifi Bar & Ballroom, and The Esplanade Hotel with international acts including
Slipknot, The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Nine Inch Nails, Nevermore, Screaming Jets and Skin Lab.
In 1999 Edward formed The Berzerker, which received international recognition and released 5 albums through international label Earache Records, as well as touring America and the UK on
a regular basis.
Edward works as a session musician for rock and metal bands in Melbourne. He has also worked in musical theatre at La Mamma, Carlton, for two years.
Edward assists students wishing to form or join a band. Focus on extended rhythm, aural and song-writing skills together with strategies for structuring and rehearsing a band assists more advanced students.
