Joey Amenta - Guitar Lessons

Joey has been playing guitar professionally since the age of 14. Formally trained from the age of 9, he completed 5 years of intensive guitar studies.

Joey has worked with many Australian big names such as Russell Morris, Tina Arena and Wendy Stapleton, just to name a few. He loves teaching and has the unique quality of being able to make new students feel very comfortable.

He is bright and intelligent with a world of experience behind him, making the learning experience truly rewarding.

Shane Ryall - Guitar + Bass Lessons

Shane has been teaching guitar and bass for about 24 years, and performing live for about the same time. During those years he has taught at a number of schools including Soundworks, Ringwood, Fretted Instruments Box Hill, Melbourne Girls Grammar and Greensborough High school. He has also taught at Salesian College, Sunbury, since 2005.

Some of the artists he has worked with professionally include Bob Downe, Denise Drysdale, Nichaud Fitzgibbon, Kylie Auldist, The Drifters, Jane Clifton & So Nice, The Band Who Knew Too Much, The Soul Passengers, Grand Wazoo, Tanya Lee, and Dan Hicks and the Hot Licks (USA) amongst others. He gigs consistently in a number of bands.

Shane has also played on a number of CDs including Bob Downe’s Cold August Night, The Soul Passengers EP, Paul Williamson’s Live at the Espy and many others. He is guest performer on Vivondo - Gerry Hales Innocent Bystanders (voted 3PBS album of the week) and is currently playing on the theme song for the 3PBS Monday night jazz show with Justine Jones.

Joe Imbroll - Guitar + Bass Lessons

Joe has been playing bass and guitar for more than 35 years and is still currently active in all facets of the music industry – playing live, recording and teaching. He has been teaching bass and guitar at Billy Hyde Music Flemington for 20 years.

Joe’s approach to teaching is focused on all aspects of music (music theory, reading, improvising, etc) supplying a solid grounding from which the student can then develop into their own style.

His influences are derived from great players in varied styles of music. “If it is GOOD, I LIKE IT.”

Some of the artists Joe has played and recorded with are John Farnham, Ian Moss, Normie Rowe, Max Merritt, Brian Cadd, Russell Morris, Andy Cowan, Broderick Smith, Paul Norton, Wendy & The Rockets, Stockley See Mason Band, Lulu, Colleen Hewitt, Shane Howard, Goanna, Chantoozies, Jim Keays, Gerry & The Pacemakers, Renee Geyer, Vanessa Amorosi, Swanee and Ross Wilson.

Whilst playing with these artists, Joe has had the opportunity to do supports on Australian tours with Tina Turner, Billy Joel, Melissa Etheridge and Status Quo.

Adrian De Luca - Drums + Percussion Lessons Anthony Gibson - Drum Lessons

With a musical and teaching career spanning over three decades, Anthony is one of our longest serving teachers. His teaching style incorporates a variety of different methods with an emphasis on contemporary music and technique.

He has been musical director for and performed in dozens of stage productions including West Side Story, Grease, Acropolis Live and Wogs Out Of Work.

He has had the opportunity to work with some of Australia’s finest musicians including Bob Sedergreen and Allan Zavod and has backed local and international artists including Reg Varney, The Drifters, Johnny Chester, Marcie Jones, Jane Scali and Ian Turpie. Anthony was also a guest performer on the Chad Smith Red Hot Clinic Tour for Billy Hyde Music.

Anthony is currently managing the Allans Billy Hyde Academy at Flemington, while maintaining a small teaching load.



Andy Fumberger - Drum Lessons Andy Fumberger - Drum Lessons

With 15 years of experience in a variety of bands, groups, session work and solo performances, Andy has gained the reputation of being a very versatile and musical drummer. From rock to jazz, Andy has been regularly gigging throughout Victoria and interstate for a number of years.

His current work includes ‘The Black Galaxy Experience’, a solo act which involves Andy performing with a number of electronic devices whilst simultaneously playing his drum set to create an engaging and original musical performance. Andy also regularly performs with his Jazz Duo ‘Chesterfield’ and with singer/song writer Kerryn Fields. These various groups demand Andy play a variety of different drumming styles such as funk, folk, experimental and straight ahead grooves.

With an emphasis of creating a fun, relaxed and comfortable teaching environment, Andy has a developed a genuine passion for teaching all drummers from beginners through to advanced levels.




Adrian De Luca - Drums + Percussion Lessons Adrian De Luca - Drum + Percussion Lessons

Adrian's professional career began by writing television jingles, which have been aired on every major television station throughout Australia.

After graduating from the Victorian College of the Arts, specialising in composition, he debuted his opera Seed, followed by a sellout season throughout Australia. Adrian has had his orchestral music performed live numerous times, including concerts at the ABC Studios, Iwaki Auditorium, and the Victorian State Theatre. Adrian has also toured Europe extensively, including a 1999-2000 New Years Eve performance in Madrid. Recent works were performed under baton of such conductors as Richard Gill, Mark Summerbell and Dr David Kram.

Adrian is currently the head of drums and percussion at Emmaus College in Victoria.

Sarah Parker - Vocal Lessons

An extremely versatile vocalist, Sarah has received the finest training from principal singers with Opera Australia (Sydney). She is a recent graduate from the University of Ballarat Arts Academy (Music Theatre). Whilst at Ballarat she performed in various shows including The Life (Sonia), Urinetown (Penny Pennywise) and Thoroughly Modern Millie (Ensemble).

Sarah has also been professionally singing for over a decade in various cover bands, jazz bands and show bands throughout NSW and VIC. In 1999 she toured the US performing at Disneyland, LA, the Lincoln Center New York and various Jazz clubs in New Orleans.

Whilst there Sarah also received tuition from some of the biggest names in jazz, including Wynton Marsalis, Matt Harris and Michelle Weir. Sarah has performed at various community events over the years. A highlight was singing the National Anthem at the Australia vs Fiji International Rugby match in 1996 in front of 40000 fans. In 2012 she will front, brand new Melbourne corporate band ‘Electrik’ working with the cream of Melbourne’s best Musicians, including Tim Rosewarne (Chocolate Starfish) and Piet Collins (The Sharp).
