Paul Fitzgerald - Guitar Lessons
Paul showed interest in the guitar from the a very early age – his first guitar was forged from a plastic 1.25 litre coke bottle and a rubber band tied from end to end that he then made in craft class at primary school!
After learning piano for a few years he moved onto a real guitar, beginning lessons at 12, not long after he officially started his music career joining high school band punk band ‘Projectile’. They were a regular fixture at all the local underage shows, even sharing the stage with ‘Gyroscope’ and local punks ‘Wishful Thinking’.
After studying VCE solo performance, learning from Damian Murdoch, he continued music studies recently finishing his Advanced Diploma of Music Performance at NMIT, learning jazz guitar from Jack Pantazis. Throughout his late teens and early twenties, Paul was the lead guitarist of AES-signed covers band ‘Kickstarter’, playing all around Melbourne and country Victoria.
These days, Paul teaches 4 days a week at Allans Billy Hyde and is hard at work in two bands, 'Mirror Tide' and progressive hard rock act ‘Apsis’.
Paul enjoys teaching very much and likes to see his students succeed in their musical experience and caters for students of all ages and abilities.

Konrad Park - Chapman Stick Lessons
Konrad aka Stickrad, is a Chapman Stick artist who in 5 short years, has contributed greatly to the Stick community. He is a naturally gifted teacher and communicator, having taught drums for over 25 years, and has put that same energy into providing opportunities for Stick students and performers.
‘The Stick is incredible as a solo instrument or in an ensemble, and is really easy to learn. Many people look at all the strings and say to themselves, that’s gotta be difficult, but it’s exactly the opposite. Thanks to the uniform 5ths/4ths tuning, even complex chord shapes become easy to recognise.’
As co-artistic director of Southern Stick Events, Konrad has brought Bob Culbertson, one of Emmett Chapman’s first students, to Australia twice since 2007, for the Stick weekend seminars, culminating in a Stick Night concert.
‘The Stick is an amazing writing tool, especially for drummers. Listen to the powerful bass range mixed with dense mids and singing highs. The Stick is incredibly dynamic, and you will be inspired to play rhythm melody and harmony in new and exciting ways.’
