||Christine Ibrahim – Vocals & Piano
Christine is a qualified vocal coach with years of training and performance experience. Originally a classical vocalist, AMEB trained and recipient of the Thomas Berry Scholarship, Christine went on to complete a Bachelor of Music majoring in Contemporary Vocals at The Australian Institute of Music in Sydney.
Christine has performed at Draculas (Lead Vocalist, Pianist, Aerialist), The Sydney Opera House, Sydney Town Hall, The Melba Spiegletent, Slide, The Ritz Carlton, The Victoria Room, The Butterfly Club, and CafÈ Concerto (London) to name a few as well as various televised performances for The Morning Show (Ch7).
Christine aka Alysia Rose, is a singer-songwriter with an EP currently available called Wonderfully Terrible Things, and has produced her show by the same name in Sydney and Melbourne. The show was recently chosen to be a part of the Melbourne Cabaret Festival as well as being featured in the closing gala, where she performed her signature act combining live vocals and aerial acrobatics with an original orchestral composition.
Christine has a passion for passing on the joy of music to her students and has been coaching vocalists for almost 10 years, from beginners to professional performers alike.
||Alfred Cesario – Drums
Alfred has been a professional musician for over three and half decades, a skilled musician and teacher specialising in drums and percussion for all levels, beginner through to intermediate and professional students. Alfred was trained by Billy Hyde and Graham Morgan in Melbourne, and in Boston studied under Joe Hunt and Gary Chaffee at the prestigious Berklee School of Music.
Alfred is a skilled accompanist proficient in sight reading new pieces from start to finish, with a high degree of accuracy and at tempo. Having performed with the likes of John Farnham, Ricky May, The Drifters and Normie Rowe to name a few, in addition to holding a position at Twin Towns backing artists. Alfred is no stranger to the stage and has the ability to pass on not only the technical aspects of the profession but also the practicalities of being a working musician.
A well respected percussionist who performs all genres from Rock to Jazz and Latin music at a professional level with years of performance experience over numerous venues and locations. He has also been the resident drummer and percussionist for Jupiters Casino and Channel 10. Alfred is a seasoned and well-trained professional session musician, accompanist and teacher.
||Gordon Matheson – Guitar & Banjo
Gordon arrived in Australia from Glasgow at the age of 9 and started strumming the guitar at age 12. He began formal study at 14 with Trinity College London (based in Melbourne) and then continued with Pearl Rawlings where after 5 years he was offered a teaching position.
He also studied with jazz guitarist Bruce Clarke (from Fascinating Rhythm – on TV) and took over his Berklee Ensemble Reading Classes for Guitar. Other formal studies included work with ABC Orchestra Guitarist Dale Kohry, which followed theatre orchestra work with JC Williamson; Classical studies with Sadie Bishop and Jochen Schubert; Jazz studies with Dale Kohry; and Masterclasses with Joe Pass, Herb Ellis, Barney Kessel, Ed Bickert and others.
Gordon's reputation as a gifted and talented guitarist and banjo player launched a career which has spanned over 50 years, performing with world class acts such as; The Seekers, Liza Minnelli, Peter Allen, John Farnam, Hector Crawford, Tina Arena, Johnny Young Talent Time TV Show, Debbie Burns and Winifried Atwell.
He also toured with the ABC Orchestra performing at the Sydney Opera House and all capital cities in Australia with Umberto Tozzi, followed by 6 years with JC Williams Theatre which produced shows such as "Man of LaMancha", "Two Gentlemen of Verona", "Hair", "Cabaret", "Evita" and Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Song Dance".
Moving to the Gold Coast he played at Jupiters Casino for 6 years at the International Showroom, backing artists such as Diana Ross, Tom Jones and Harlem Rhythm.
